Our Mission

Our mission is to provide support and guidance to parents of neurodivergent children. In our support meetings, parents can discover valuable resources and strategies to effectively support their child's needs at school and home while maintaining their own sanity. We team up with field experts, organizing informative online panels that address crucial subjects. These panels help parents gain insights into their children's learning differences, requirements, available support and effective advocacy strategies. We also prioritize the power of shared experiences, inviting experienced parents to share practical insights and lessons learned.

To enhance the level of support, we've established an online community chat platform. Here, we can share experiences and provide mutual assistance to one another.

Our ultimate aim is to create a supportive ecosystem offering a lifeline to parents everywhere. We aspire to foster a sense of belonging, strength and invaluable knowledge, enabling parents to navigate the challenges of raising neurodivergent children with confidence and resilience. We also emphasize the importance of parents striking a balance between supporting their children and their own self-care.

How Does It Work

Upon signing up, you'll gain entry to our online community platform, enabling you to connect, exchange tips and resources and offer mutual support. We'll host virtual sessions featuring experts and parents discussing diverse subjects. Additionally, we'll conduct online support meetings, and for those in the Pasadena area, occasional in-person gatherings. Both virtual and in-person meetings serve as avenues to connect with fellow parents, share experiences, extend support and exchange valuable insights.

Cheryl Rizzo (she/her)

Cheryl is the Mom of an awesome now 18 year old with learning differences. She learned early on that in order to help him and herself, she needed to talk to other parents in the same situation to gain resources but also get real life advice from parents who had been there. That's when she met Leslie and together they led a group on learning differences at their children's elementary school. Seeing how successful it was has encouraged them to want to share this support with other parents and families. Thank you for being here!

Leslie Newton (she/her)

Leslie is the Mom of a now 16 year old. When her daughter was 7 she learned she had learning differences and was 2E. Leslie was grateful to meet Cheryl at their kids elementary school, where they could create a community of parents going through the same challenges. Having a supportive community makes this journey less overwhelming, and we're thrilled to be able to offer this to more parents. We want you to know you are not alone and are so glad you are here.
